Unique silver necklace with tribal shell spiral design. Mathematicians have learned to use Fibonacci's sequence to describe certain shapes that appear in nature. These shapes are called logarithmic spirals, and Nautilus shells are just one example. You also see logarithmic spiral shapes in spiral galaxies, and in many plants such as sunflowers. Throughout the ages, spirals have represented infinite expansion, symbolising the expansion of nature and the universe, reflecting the magical inter-connectedness of our micro- and macro- cosmos. A way of understanding the deeper beauty and spirituality in life.
On the small silver pendents at the endings of the necklace there are shells that are a symbol of good communication, positive and healthy relationships, protection and prosperity.
These unique elegant silver necklaces are handmade. To create it, I intertwined a special kind of string, called waxed string.
Waxed string not only withstands water, it's also extremely resistant. It was anciently used by shoemakers to saw leather. This provides a longtime lasting piece of jewellery. The silver beads I use are handcrafted by skilled artisans in the remote mountain regions of Thailand. They are made from a higher percentage of pure silver than standard sterling silver, typically around 95-99%, making them a more durable and valuable material.
The Hill Tribe people use traditional techniques to create intricate designs on the beads and pendents, often featuring patterns inspired by nature or their tribal culture.
The process of making each bead is incredibly time-consuming, as the artisans use basic tools to individually shape and engrave each bead and pendent. The result is a stunning, one-of-a-kind piece that adds a touch of exotic elegance to any jewellery collection. Hill Tribe silver beads are a popular choice among enthusiasts who appreciate the unique beauty and cultural significance of these handcrafted pieces.
I used an adjustable knot on this necklace which can be worn at different lengths depending on your outfit. The small pendents on the ends hang casually on the back or on the side, creating an elegant and unique look.
